About me
Hey! My name's Tina and the first time I learned to use a sewing machine was around 15 years old. My dad and my Lola (grandma) were the first ones to teach me anything about sewing, knitting, & crocheting. To be completely honest, as a high schooler, I didn't enjoy it as much.
Once I had my kids then I really focused on sharpening these skills. I just wanted clothes for my kids that were unique and one of kind. (My enneagram number is a 4 ha!). This then lead to my friend, Clair asking me to try to make her a quilt coat. Now, I made a couple before just as a trial run but I felt the pressure with it being someone else's coat.
If I am speaking the truth about sewing, is that there really isn't a wrong way to sew. It's trial and error. It's learning from those who came before us. & It's finding techniques that simply work for you and your vision. I feel like I am still figuring it out as I go, and I am completely humbled by the kind words many of you have said to me as I trek along this new path as a seamstress. Thanks for being here <3
